Overall, what is your opinion of the draft Waitākere Ranges Climate Action Plan?

Many projects are already underway or being piloted, including the following flagship projects:

- Investigate installing solar on facilities with significant solar potential (pg 21-22, 25)
- Champion opportunities for improved active travel within the Waitākere Ranges Greenways Plan (pg 33)
- Identify the need for secure cycle and scooter parking at public transport access points (pg 33)
- Host a sustainable business programme for local businesses (pg 36-37, 39)
- Fund establishment of a community climate action programme (pg 45)
- Shoreline Adaptation Plans (pg 46)
- Supporting communities to develop disaster resilience plans (pg 46)
- Distributing the Lifestyle Block Resilience Handbook (pg 46)

Advocate for more electric vehicle charging carparks in Waitākere Ranges Local Board area and adjacent local board areas (pg 33)

Hold a local challenge to reduce single person car trips by promoting alternatives (pg 33)

Support implementation of Mana Motuhake o te Kai, the West Auckland Kai Sovereignty Plan to increase local food growing (pg 48, 52)

Identify opportunities to support the five pou (focus areas) identified by the Māori Thought Leadership Collective (pg 55-56)
