Event types explained
Community hui (forum)
A community hui begins with a presentation and overview of the annual plan consultation topics, followed by an opportunity to ask questions to Auckland Council staff or elected members.
Drop-in session
At a drop-in session you can visit our team any time during the times listed to ask questions or give your feedback.
Fono
A 'fono' is a word used for 'community meetings' in different countries in Polynesia. Fonos usually involve a presentation or opening followed by discussion, questions and answers.
Although intended for our Pacific communities, this meeting is open to everyone.
Please wear modest and comfortable clothing that covers the shoulders and knees when you attend a fono.
