In 2025/2026 we plan to invest $5.8 million in capital spend to renew and develop assets (resources we own) and $17.1 million to maintain and operate these assets and deliver local activities (operating spend).

What we propose for the Devonport-Takapuna Local Board area in 2025/2026
In the 2025/2026 financial year, we plan to:
- continue planning and developing the Takapuna Community Hub
- support local environmental groups to work with volunteers to:
- clean up, manage and plant our local reserves and open spaces
- help deliver better environmental outcomes and more weather-resilient spaces
- continue to maintain and improve community facilities like parks, sports fields, libraries and community venues
- progress our Local Parks Management Plan and refresh the Devonport-Takapuna Greenways Plan to improve long-term walking, cycling and ecological routes
- provide ways and places to connect and share experiences and information to support our communities affected by floods
- develop a Wairau Catchment Water Quality Action Plan to make use of existing reports and advice
- work with members of our ethnic communities to support initiatives identified in the Devonport-Takapuna Ethnic Communities Plan.

- sustainability activities
- activities to minimise local waste
- activities to improve and maintain the quality of local water
- activities for young people.
