heronover 4 years agoTraffic lights and pedestrian crossing on Saltaire/Roberton St - Great North Rd intersection
Wait time for cars going right or straight is very long especially in peak traffic. Also turning from Great North Rd blocks one lane of traffic for few minutes. Same with people crossing. Nightmare if you try to get to train station or bus stop opposite. Not safe at all

Due to rising number of burglaries, home invasion and general crime in Avondale.
0 comment2NotTheAngryMobover 4 years agoSave the Canal Rd trees!
There is a plot of land for sale on Canal Rd with 90/100 year old native trees, some rare specimens. These are due to be lost to development, in spite of being only one of a few sites of special interest, unless bought by Council for a reserve. AC, buy this land, and sell the bare park down the road to developers, or make another plan, but save this precious urban ngahere!
1 comment2janiceover 4 years agoRemoving the parking bay on Taunton Terrace
This bay on the south side of Taunton Terrace coming up from Blockhouse Bay beach provides no purpose aside from assisting people dumping rubbish and other suspect activities. It would be of more use to take out the parking bay and instead extend the footpath here.
