Project Update

CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.

Thank you to everyone who had their say on the draft Waiheke Area Plan. Consultation was extended to 17 August 2020 in response to the second COVID-19 lockdown.

We received 250 pieces of feedback. These came via our online and hardcopy feedback forms, emails, and from our drop-in sessions.

What happens next

The project team are commencing a series of workshops with the Waiheke Area Plan Working Party (comprising of Waiheke Local Board members, Waitematā Councillor Pippa Coom and Liane Ngamane from the Independent Maori Statutory Board) in December 2020 and early 2021. The plan will be finalised following the incorporation of feedback and input from these workshops.

We will update the project page with the key themes emerging from the feedback in mid – late January 2021, following the December workshop with the working party.

Once finalised the plan will be available to view on Auckland Council’s Plans and Policies page online.

If you have any questions please email us.

Many thanks,

Waiheke Area Plan Project Team
