Consultation has concluded
We need your help to investigate the development of a community hub in Old Papatoetoe.
The hub will be a place where the community can come together and participate in a range of activities.
The Old Papatoetoe community is growing rapidly, and we want to make sure we are able to meet its changing needs.
What we are proposing
Last year we asked people for their ideas and if there was support for a community hub. We heard a definite ‘yes’ and that…
“a community hub should be somewhere that people across ages and cultures could feel they belong and have activities to do.”
The new hub would provide library services and continue to support community providers who already operate from council’s buildings in the area.
What we want your feedback on
We want to understand what other community services, activities and programmes we should be catering for within the hub.
Examples could include:
- spaces for arts and cultural activities
- meetings and events
- social gatherings
- classes and programmes to learn something new
- shared office spaces for small businesses.
We would like to hear from you about what you and your whānau would like to do at the new community hub.
The information you provide is important for the future of communities in Old Papatoetoe!
When you can have your say
You can have your say from 8 June until 17 July 2022.
