Big Manly Beachfront, The Esplanade - Bollard Installation

About the Big Manly Beach bollard installation

We propose to install timber bollards along a section of Big Manly Beach on The Esplanade in Whangaparaoa to protect the reserve, trees and sand dunes.

We want to preserve the dunes, trees and grassed areas of the reserve so visitors can continue to enjoy sitting and having picnics in the shaded area.

If we continue allowing trucks and cars to park here, the area will turn to sand and gravel. This is similar to what's happened at the eastern end of The Esplanade. A proposal document is attached which outlines further information.

We need you to have your say on how you want to see your reserve protected.
