Jack Pringle Village Green Playground Upgrade

We are planning to upgrade the playground and park furniture at the Jack Pringle Village Green playground.

We still need to consult the community and iwi before we finalise the design.

It will then be formally approved by Henderson-Massey Local Board.

What we are proposing

We are upgrading the existing playground to cater for a wider age group.

Where budget allows and where practical, we are considering adding:

• sound elements
• waterplay
• creative / imaginative play improvements.

We're also thinking of including wet pour surfacing (a blended mix of rubber granules bound together) and other accessible playground elements to promote inclusive play.

There are numerous well-placed trees around the playground which will provide plenty of natural shade.
