Henderson-Massey Local Board is developing a local parks management plan for all parks and reserves in the local board area. The plan will guide the use, protection and development of local parks and reserves over the next 10 years.

The plan will focus on important cultural, historic, natural and recreational features of parks and reserves in the area.

This plan is required under the Reserves Act 1977.

We will use your feedback to help draft the plan. We will also work with mana whenua (local Māori) to include their input.

In 2027, we will run a second round of public consultation to get feedback on the draft plan.

We will use your feedback to prepare a draft local parks management plan and present it to Henderson-Massey Local Board. We expect to run a second consultation in 2027 to get your feedback on the draft plan.

Once adopted, the plan will replace all existing reserve management plans for parks in Henderson-Massey.
