Glasgow Park Service Assessment

About the Glasgow Park service assessment
The Auckland Council parks team has been asked by the Rodney Local Board to complete a service assessment of Glasgow Park in Waimauku.
The purpose of the assessment is to:
- identify development objectives for Glasgow Park and the nearby Blomfield Block
- allow these objectives to enable quality decisions to be made regarding future park use and development.
Service assessments for existing parks in high-growth areas allow more accurate strategic planning for park development and better informed decision-making for local boards.
Why Glasgow Park is being assessed
The Rodney Local Board area is experiencing areas of significant housing development and population growth, which puts pressure on existing public open space.
Our Parks department needs to engage with existing user groups and the local community to understand their needs and identify areas where sharing and collaboration may be possible.
What we want your feedback on
We want to hear from the Waimauku community so we can make sure we get our Glasgow Park management plan right.
Tell us:
