1.  Updated spending over next 10 years

For more information, see page 18 of the consultation document.

Considering our proposed investments over the next 10 years, and the impacts of those investments, what do you think of our proposed changes to the Contributions Policy 2025?

3.

2. Spending in Investment Priority Areas over the next 30 years

We propose to continue implementing our strategy to recover the longer-term costs (30 years) of growth in the Investment Priority Areas (IPAs) from the Inner Northwest (at Red Hills, Westgate and Whenuapai) and the Auckland Housing Programme (AHP) areas at Māngere, Mt Roskill and the Tāmaki Regeneration area.

Having assessed the investment requirements for the IPAs at the Inner Northwest and the AHPs at Tāmaki, Māngere and Mt Roskill, we believe an additional $8.9 billion of investment is required in these areas over 30 years. This will raise the average price for developments contributions.

For more information see page 18 of the consultation document.

What do you think of our proposal to add projects to the Investment Priority Areas beyond the next 10 years?

3. Development contributions in Drury

We have assessed requirements for stormwater infrastructure in Drury and reviewed the level of investment needed in this area over the next 30 years. This will raise the average price for developments contributions in Drury.

For more information see page 23 of the consultation document

What do you think of our proposed changes for the Drury area?

7.

4. Other proposed changes

We are proposing funding area changes to ensure fair allocation of growth-related infrastructure costs between ratepayers and developers, and between developers in different locations.

These changes include:

  • new sub-regional funding areas at Paerata, Whau and the Northwest
  • new local funding area at Avondale
  • changes to neighbouring funding areas have been adjusted to accommodate these new areas.

We have also made changes to local funding areas, including to reflect the distribution of benefits of investments proposed in the Investment Priority Areas (IPAs).

For more information see page 25 of the consultation document.

What do you think of our other proposed changes?
