This consultation closed in October 2021. Thank you for having your say.
In total we received 70 submissions through our online form. Most of this came from people that use other park facilities but do not use the fitness equipment.
Key feedback themes
The main feedback themes forCraigavon Parkwere that :
fitness equipment should stay spread out through the park, and not be clustered
fitness equipment should stay in the current style.
We also found out that the walking circuit and dog agility park get used a lot.
Changes made as a result of feedback
As a result of your feedback, we will keep the fitness equipment spread around the park. We will also relocate some fitness equipment to ensure it is more visible.
Station #2 (chin ups), #7 (monkey bars) and #8 (side vaults) will be relocated to more open parts of the walking trail. We plan to replace these with similar equipment, while also installing new matting.
The rest of the equipment will be repaired and renovated, but kept in similar locations.
We plan to improve the fitness circuit by removing timber that is badly placed.
All signs will be replaced, making use of current frames where possible. We also plan to add a new sign at the reserve to let our community know about this fitness equipment.
What happens next
The Craigavon Park upgrade will be completed before summer 2022.
