About the Barry Curtis Park playground

The original Barry Curtis Park playground was built in 2006.

It has a native wetland theme. This reflects the wetlands and stormwater ponds found across the park.

What we are proposing

We are planning to renew and upgrade the playground at Barry Curtis Park.

We would like your help designing a playground that offers  safe and exciting play equipment for children of a range of ages and abilities. We will replace the park furniture and provide improvements to shade, signage and pathways.

What we want your feedback on

We want to know:

  • what play experiences you would like
  • how we should improve seating, shade, signage and access
  • how we can make sure the playground caters to a wide range of age groups and abilities.

How you can have your say

To have your say you can:

  • complete our online feedback form
  • attend the open day at the Barry Curtis Park playground on Saturday 29 April from 10am to 1pm
  • get a copy of the feedback form from Botany Library and email it to Howick.Parks@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz or post it using the attached self addressed page
  • hand your feedback form to your local board office, service centre or library.

You can also post your feedback form to:

Postal address.

Have your say as part of a group

If you are part of an organisation, discuss the questions as a group and provide one response that shares the thoughts of your group as a whole.

When you can have your say

You can have your say from 9am on 11 April until 5pm on 7 May 2023.
