There is no climate emergency at all. There is just weather which we will never be able to control. Infrastructure needs to cope with storms better. Widen and drain all creeks leading to the sea.
Stop dealing with this knee jerk fantasy scenario. During the covid pandemic mans emissions went down all over the planet and CO2 still went up. How do you explain that, you can't of course except to come out with more gibberish theories which don't stack up.
Follow the science and not hysterical scaremongering with no facts to back it up.
The so called .8 of one degree isn't a fact it is an estimate taken from computer models which estimated 85% of planets the temperatures from the 1850's It was a guess which must have a margin of error.
This summer we have had cold temperatures and heavy rain while the South Island had normal temperatures. The cooler weather is because of the La NIna weather pattern in the pacific. Next year we will be back to El Nino conditions it's not CO2.
We have had many major storms over recorded history in NZ many of them were as bad or worse than this latest cyclone get your climate scientists to explain how they happened when CO2 was about 340ppm.
