Why is the investment in cycle lanes reduced? Is council aware that the Hydrogen fuel cell battery operated bicycles are available now? We should gradually move away from vehicles and encourage more bicycles by introducing Hydrogen re-fueling stations. By product is water-vapor absolutely green.

Hello. On pg. 36 the central proposal on Water management lists planning for a new Waitemata Harbour Crossing under highlights. Why is this coming from the water management budget and not from the Transport budget? This seems far more like a transport issue.

I am the President of National Council of Women NZ (Auckland Branch). We would like to do an organisational response that does not fit the prescribed survey format. May we submit a word document of feedback please or do we have to use the survey document?

I have read the Storm Response answers but aside from the problems of the worst cases where whole houses were damaged, what is the council planning to do with the storm drainage system generally. For example in Blockhouse Bay more houses are being built on land that used to have one dwelling, and in ordinary heavy rain the storm water drains overflow running down driveways and along footpaths. When are these everyday problems going to be addressed. I believe that stormwater drainage in this area has not been upgraded since the 1950’s. I would like to know that it is a priority for the council.

Hello, I've received the "Long-term Plan 2024-2034 Consultation Document" consisting of 77 pages, along with a request for public feedback. I wonder if anyone at Auckland Council believes that the average person can thoroughly read and understand it. Despite the evident effort of many professionals on these 77 pages, there isn't a single straightforward table summarising ALL the differences between the three options presented easily and understandably. It seems likely that producing this document incurred significant costs—a regrettable waste, as most individuals cannot utilise it effectively to provide meaningful feedback. This situation is quite disheartening for community members eager to participate and contribute to the process but find the document overwhelmingly inaccessible. Looking forward to hearing from you, thanks for your time, Dr. Adva Hayam-Jonas
