What we are planning for transport in the Annual Plan 2026/2027.

Our transport investments will focus on:

  • renewing and maintaining our networks
  • fixing roads
  • improving public transport.

In the 2026/2027 financial year, we plan to:

  • continue to improve how we manage transport. This will help us provide a great passenger experience and safer, more reliable and efficient public transport
  • support the development of the 30-year Auckland Integrated Transport Plan. This will provide Aucklanders with better access to public transport and a better-connected, more efficient transport system
  • continue building the Eastern Busway to support the opening of the City Rail Link (CRL) in 2026
  • continue removing level crossings at Glen Innes and Takanini train stations. This will make the station safer and easier to access
  • deliver other planned works including:
