About the Project

Are you aged 14-24 and interested in having your say in the decisions that affect your whānau, friends and neighbours?

We are looking for rangatahi to help shape the future of our communities!

If you live, go to school, work, or have whānau in the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board area then we want you to get involved!

Maungakiekie-Tamaki Local Board is developing their Local Board Plan for the next 3 years, and they want to hear from you about what you might need to support your hauora (wellbeing), and how council facilities might be able to do that. Your voice matters, and your suggestions will be heard by your local board members, who are elected to make decisions about your neighbourhood.

How to get involved

We are holding 2 workshops where you will have the opportunity to kōrero about what matters to you.

Workshop dates:

  • Tuesday 23 May 9am - 3pm
  • Tuesday 30 May 9am - 3pm

No special experience is needed to get involved and we will give you all the information and support you need to participate.

If this sounds like you, complete a registration form - we would love to hear from you!

What happens next

If you have been selected to participate in the sessions, you will receive an email confirmation with more details.
