Overview

We want to make it safer and easier for people to walk and cross the road at Woodhouse Road and Patumahoe Road. This is right in the heart of the Patumahoe village centre.

These upgrades form part of the Franklin Targeted Rate Paths Programme — a 10-year partnership between Auckland Council, Auckland Transport (AT), and the Franklin Local Board.

AT, Franklin Local Board and Auckland Council are working together to prioritise and deliver local safety and accessibility improvements across the Franklin Local Board area. This work is being delivered as part of the Franklin Targeted Rate Paths Programme.

We’re proposing the following changes in the area:

Project benefits

  • Safer journeys for everyone

Improve safety for people crossing near shops, bus stops and for children walking to school.

  • Access for everyone

Improve accessibility for people using prams, wheelchairs and mobility devices.
