About Wesley Community Centre playground

Wesley Community Centre playground is at the west end of Mount Roskill War Memorial Park on Sandringham Road.

In 2019 we held a consultation about plans for the entire park. Feedback showed a lot of support to upgrade the playground.

We used this feedback to design a plan for the future of the playground to:

  • improve safety
  • provide play options for all abilities
  • meet the standards of other playgrounds across Auckland.

Our proposed design for the playground

Our proposed design aims to improve and maximise play and leisure options for the whole community.

This includes:

  • a swing set
  • a climbing net
  • a wheelchair carousel
  • trampolines
  • a seesaw
  • a play module
  • a waterplay area
  • table tennis equipment
  • nature play areas
  • bicycle stands
  • a picnic table and bench with wheelchair access.

What we want your feedback on

We want to know:

  • what you think about our plans for the playground
  • what you like most about the proposed design
  • if there is anything you do not like about the proposed design.
