Consultation has concluded
We are developing a masterplan for Walter Massey Park.
The plan will guide long-term improvements and future investment decisions for the park. It will consider things like;
cultural heritage
shared walking and cycling path networks
sport and recreation and play opportunities
picnic/BBQ/hang out spaces
provision for youth
planting
parking
drainage
signage - directional and interpretive
safety and security
About Walter Massey Park
Walter Massey Park is located at 362-394 Massey Road in Māngere East.
It is over 16 hectares in size.
It is home to:
multiple sports clubs
Māngere East Library
Māngere East Hall (Metro Theatre)
Strive Community Trust
Māngere East Community Centre
Samoa Atia’e I Magele.
What we want your feedback on
We want to know:
whether you use the park
what you enjoy about the park
what could be changed and added.
Your feedback will help us develop the draft masterplan. Once we have developed the draft masterplan, we will ask for your thoughts again to make sure we’ve got it right.
