About the Project
Are you aged 14-24 and interested in having your say in the decisions that affect your whānau, friends and neighbours?
We are looking for rangatahi to help shape the future of our communities! You will be paid for your time as we value your opinions and appreciate your commitment to the project.
If you live, go to school, work, or have whānau in the Waitematā Local Board area then we want you to get involved!
Waitematā Local Board is developing their Local Board Plan for the next 3 years, and they want to hear from you about what you might need to support your hauora (wellbeing), voice matters, and your suggestions will be heard by your local board members, who are elected to make decisions about your neighbourhood.
We want to empower young people to be heard and seen in Local Government.
How to get involved
We are holding 2 workshops (attendance at both is required) where you will have the opportunity to kōrero about what matters to you.
Workshop dates:
• Friday 7 July 10am – 4pm
• Saturday 8 July 10am – 4pm
No special experience is needed to get involved and we will give you all the information and support you need to participate.
If this sounds like you, complete a registration form - we would love to hear from you!
