We have prepared a draft reserve management plan in line with the Reserves Act 1977 to reflect how we will manage the park and protect its values over the next 10 years. A draft masterplan has also been prepared to reflect the community’s aspirations.

The second round of public consultation has now closed and the team are now conducting the hearings and analysing the results from the feedback.

These plans have been prepared based on the community's feedback received during the first round of consultation, by working with mana whenua and members of the local board.

The first round of public consultation on this project finished on 21 July 2019. We received 357 comments from individuals and organisations on what they would like to see for the future of Waikaraka Park.
