Timeline for the Long-term Plan 2024-2034

The Mayoral Proposal is the first step taken to develop our annual budgets and long-term plans (10-year budgets). The proposal outlines the issues our mayor considers most important for Auckland.

In the months after the Mayoral Proposal is released, our Governing Body discusses the options and develops a proposed long-term plan.

Public consultation on the Long-term Plan 2024-2034 closed on 28 March 2024.

Elected members of the Governing Body will now consider your feedback as they make final decisions for the plan.

We expect the Governing Body will approve the Long-term Plan 2024-2034 in late June 2024.
