What we are proposing
The existing playspace at Te Hana Domain Reserve is in a poor condition and needs to be replaced.
We are proposing to renew the playspace.
The new playground will be built on the northern side of Whakapirau Road. It will be near the toilet and on the same side of the road as the reserve car park.
The renewal will include:
- equipment for climbing, swinging, sliding, spinning, balancing and imaginative play
- an all-weather path to access the playspace
- a range of seating and shelter for caregivers and visitors
- raised planter beds and pathway access for the community garden
- moveable half pipe.
The basketball courts are in good condition and will stay within the southern part of the reserve.
You can download the concept plan [1.9MB] for more information.
