Proposed land exchange Taniwha Reserve and Maybury Reserve, Glen Innes
We are proposing to exchange 2,779m² of land at Taniwha Reserve owned by Auckland Council (section A, in red) with 10,472m² of the Tāmaki Regeneration Company’s land (section B, C and D, in blue).
What this land exchange would mean
The proposed land exchange could benefit the community by:
- increasing amenity values and open space (net gain of 7,693m² open space)
- providing more multifunctional and useable recreational space
- improving sightlines and pedestrian access into and through the open spaces.

You can have your say from 17 May to 14 June 2021.
What happens next
- Following the four-week public notification period, we will hold a Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board meeting on 27 July 2021 to discuss public feedback on the proposed land exchange
- Staff will report to the Parks, Arts, Community and Events Committee on 9 September 2021 seeking a resolution on the proposed land exchange
