The playground at Shadon/Springtime Reserve in Stanmore Bay has reached the end of its life and needs to be replaced.

What we want your feedback on

We want to know what you would like to see as part of the new playground.

You can help by choosing your preferred play elements, such as:

slides

swings

spinners

climbing elements

rocking

creative play (elements that encourage children to use their imagination and create activities)

social play (elements that encourage children or adults to play together)

nature play (using natural rock and timber elements)

When you can have your say

You can have your say from 19 July to 6 August 2021.

What happens next

We'll use your feedback to help to refine our concept design for the playground.

This will then be presented to Hibiscus and Bays Local Board.

  • Auckland Council, on behalf of the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board, is planning the renewal of the neighbourhood playground at Shadon/Springtime Reserve.

The playground is at the end of its life and we are seeking to renew it with a view to improve the creative and imaginative play.

We are seeking your feedback on what you would like to see on the playground as part of the renewal works. Let us know how you are using the reserve area and what your favourite playground elements are.

We want to hear your thoughts and all information gathered will help to refine the concept design which will then be presented to the local board.
