Auckland Council recognises that horse riding is a valued recreational experience in the Rodney Local Board area. We are currently conducting a study of equestrian provision throughout the Rodney Local Board area. This study aims to gain a better understanding of equestrian activities (including pony clubs) in the Rodney area, to support future planning and decision-making by the Rodney Local Board and Auckland Council.

As part of this study, we are asking all pony clubs in the Rodney Local Board area to complete the attached Self-Assessment Form. The information you provide will help Auckland Council to:

• Assess the current facilities, membership, and activities of each club
• Identify opportunities and challenges facing pony clubs in Rodney
• Plan for future equestrian activities.

As the experts in your field, your input will contribute to ensuring that the needs of pony clubs are accurately represented and considered in future planning. We appreciate your time and effort in completing the self-assessment form and contributing to this important study.
