Papakura Half-Court Basketball Courts

What we are proposing

We want to install two new basketball half-courts in the Papakura Local Board area.

This will provide Papakura with more opportunities for basketball and other activities like:

• roller blading
• handball
• netball.

Papakura Local Board has already approved the installation of the courts.

What we want your feedback on

We’d like to know at which two parks you would like to see the basketball half-courts.

Parks that can accommodate the courts include:

1. Brylee Reserve
2. Waiari Reserve
3. Milano Reserve (Hingaia)
4. Prince Edward Park.
5. Central Park
6. Mansell Field Reserve
7. Carisbrook Reserve
8. Awakeri Wetlands (open space/drainage reserve) -Park not available for basketball court development
9. McLennan Park

What happens next

We will report back to the Papakura Local Board with your preferred locations for the basketball courts and get their approval.
