We would like your feedback on what you want to see in Otaawhati / Ray Small Park playground.
Otaawhati / Ray Small Park is located in Pahurehure. It offers a safe and accessible green space for the local community.
The park has:
- rugby fields
- a skate park
- a basketball court
- a playground
- open grassed areas
- walking paths
- spaces for relaxation.
The existing playground within Otaawhati / Ray Small Park does not have equipment for early childhood users. We want to renew this playground to create play experiences for early childhood to youth.
What we are proposing
We have developed a draft concept plan for this renewal.
We are proposing:
- to replace the existing swings with a range of sizes to cater from early childhood to youth
- to add a new path to increase wheelchair access
- to add more seating and picnic tables
- to add new climbing equipment.
Concept plan for Otaawhati / Ray Small Reserve playground renewal
Images are examples to give you an idea of what the playground could look like. The final equipment may look different.
What we want your feedback on
Tell us about:
- your top three playground equipment or elements that you would like to see in the playground
- any other aspects that you would like us to consider for this renewal.
These works are out-of-scope for this renewal project:
- skate park
- basketball court
- car park
- rugby fields and toilets
- stormwater control
- lighting
- new park signs (previously renewed under Te Kete Rukuruku project)
- rubbish bin renewal or additions.
