We are renewing the main playground in Olympic Park in New Lynn and we want your ideas on what to include.

The new Sand Play Zone has opened. This is a space where children can uncover fossils and play in the sand together.

The refreshed Olympic Park playground will include five new discovery zones. Each zone will offer a different way to:

  • play
  • explore
  • imagine.

Some parts of the playground are already decided:

  • The playground will stay in its current spot at Olympic Park and the layout will not change much.
  • The Sand Play Zone is already finished and will remain as it is.
  • We will keep the flying fox, basketball area and perimeter path.

What we want your feedback on

We would like your feedback on:

  • what types of play and activities you would like to see in each area of the playground
  • how each area should look and feel.

We will use your feedback to help guide the concept design.
