Olympic Park masterplan
We are developing a masterplan for New Lynn's Olympic Park and want your feedback.
The masterplan will guide future investment and long-term improvements to the park over the next ten years.
Olympic Park is a 7.45-hectare park in the Whau Local Board area.
The park has:
- a velodrome
- a playground
- a community events stage
- spaces for sport and recreation like cycling, football, gymnastics, indoor bowls and athletics
- areas for environmental activities, such as sustainability programmes.
In February 2025, the local board supported a minimal upgrade to the velodrome to improve safety and add signage.
