About O-tua-uru / Brylee Drive Reserve

O-tua-uru / Brylee Drive Reserve is a reserve at the northern end of Conifer Grove.

It features a mix of:

  • open green space
  • wetland boardwalks
  • playgrounds.

The reserve connects to the Conifer Grove walkway near the edge of Pahurehure Inlet.

The reserve currently includes:

  • a full-sized tennis court
  • half-court tennis (including pickleball)
  • a children’s playground
  • flat walking paths
  • picnic tables
  • seating
  • a carpark.

What we are proposing

We are proposing:

  • to replace existing park equipment that is in poor condition and is considered to be at the end of its life
  • to build a new half-basketball court
  • to create a new connection path from the existing path to the basketball court.

What we want your feedback on

We would like to know:

  • your top three pieces of playground equipment you would like to see in the new playground
  • which elements of the existing playground you do not want to see in the new playground.

We would also like to know if there are any other aspects that you would like us to consider in this renewal.

These items are currently out of scope:

  • tennis court renewal
  • mini court renewal
  • renewal of existing paths
  • new park signs (renewed under Te Kete Rukuruku project)
  • any works relating to the existing car park and bridges
  • rubbish bin renewal/additions
  • stormwater control
  • landscaping not immediately next to the playground.
