This consultation closed on 20 October 2023. Thank you for having your say.

We received 132 feedback submissions via our online feedback form.

We also held an onsite community drop-in event in February 2024 with a local focus group who helped with the redesign of Muriwai Village Green.

Key feedback themes 

Around 92 per cent supported the concept design.

The key feedback themes included requests for:

  • more learn to ride areas
  • a toilet (not suitable for a local park)
  • wheel play equipment for all ages and abilities
  • more trees for shade over the seating area.

Changes we made based on your feedback 

We made these changes based on your feedback:

  • design changes including switching the basketball court with a half court to create a larger area for riding bikes and learn to ride wheel play markings
  • co-designed the skatepark elements with a local focus group
  • added trees to the design.

What happens next 

The $934,000 upgrade of the Muriwai Village Green has been approved by Rodney Local Board.
