Neighbourhood playground renewals in the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board area

We are planning to renew three neighbourhood playgrounds in the Māngere-Ōtāhuhu Local Board area.

The playgrounds are:

These playgrounds have been selected for renewal because the current play equipment is old and reaching the end of its life.

We are combining these three projects into one consultation because the parks are close to each other, within about seven kilometres.

We will use your feedback to finalise the design of the three playgrounds.

About the playgrounds

Neighbourhood playgrounds are smaller parks designed for nearby residents, usually within walking distance.

They provide safe, fun and accessible places for tamariki and whānau to play and spend time together.

What we want your feedback on

We want your feedback on:

  • what types of play equipment and playground features you would like to see
  • how the playgrounds can better reflect your community's needs
  • ideas that would make the parks more welcoming, safe and fun for local whānau.
