Proposed dog park locations within Macleans Park, Bucklands Beach
We are considering one of two sites within Macleans Park in Bucklands Beach to become a fenced-off dog park.
We will develop the dog park in two stages:
- Stage one: We will create the off-leash dog park with double gated access.
- Stage two: We will then add a dog exercise area to the dog park.
Option A:
Pro’s:
• Flat, open, and visible area
• Easily accessible location
• Car parking on Macleans Road can be utilised with a short walk to the suggested area
• Already established seating and bin in proximity
Cons:
• Limited car parking on Charles Dickens Drive
• Possible noise disturbance for the neighbours
• In sight of neighbouring properties
Option B:
Pro’s:
• Open and visible area
• Easily accessible location
• Car parking on Macleans Road – easy access for the public
Cons:
• In sight of neighbouring properties
