Proposed dog park locations within Macleans Park, Bucklands Beach

We are considering one of two sites within Macleans Park in Bucklands Beach to become a fenced-off dog park.

We will develop the dog park in two stages:

  • Stage one: We will create the off-leash dog park with double gated access.
  • Stage two: We will then add a dog exercise area to the dog park.

What we want your feedback on

We'd like to know which of the sites you prefer for the dog park.

When you can have your say

You can have your say from 28 June to 25 July 2021

What happens next

  • We will hold a meeting with the Howick Local Board at the end of August to discuss the public feedback received and to consider next steps.
  • The Howick Local Board will make a final decision on the location of the dog park at their business meeting in September.

Once decisions are made they will be publicly available regarding the decision made by the Howick Local Board. This will be through the Have Your Say Page as well as corflute signage displayed in the park.
