We received eight feedback submissions. These came through the Have your say website and via our feedback form.

Key feedback themes

  • Six submissions were in support of the lease. People said it was a great amenity for families, used a lot by young people and families, and it added vibrancy to the area.
  • One submission was opposed, saying the space was better used for the Outboard Boating Club member's car and trailer parking.
  • One person was indifferent but said they would support a new lease term as long as the mini-golf course did not encroach on the Outboard Boating Club site.

What happens next

On 18 February 2021 the Ōrākei Local Board approved a new commercial ground lease term of two years to the existing tenant, Lilliput Mini Golf (managed by Fraser Brothers Limited) under Resolution OR/2021/3.
