About Kimpton Park playground

Kimpton Park is a park in the Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board area that provides recreational and play opportunities for nearby residents.

The existing playground is in poor condition and needs to be replaced. It also has no connecting pathways and limited seating.

What we are doing

We are assessing the park to find out how we can upgrade Kimpton Park to meet the community's needs.

We will use this information to create a concept plan. This will allow Ōtara-Papatoetoe Local Board to prioritise and assign funding to develop the park over time.

We are planning to renew the playground and park at Kimpton Park by:

  • changing the location of the playground
  • including new equipment
  • adding more play options for different age groups
  • providing an informal gathering place.

Our goal is to create a safe and engaging recreational space for the community to enjoy.

What we want your feedback on

You can see the three proposed locations for the new playground in our concept document [PDF 2.6MB].

We want to know:

  • how you use the park
  • what informal recreation and play facilities you would like to see in the future, for whānau (family) and rangatahi (young people)
  • which playground location you like best

How you can have your say

To have your say, you can:

When you can have your say
