Key feedback themes

There were two play space designs to choose from:

Option A

This option included:

  • a rail-based glider
  • monkey bars
  • a wobbly bridge
  • a tunnel
  • a 150mm platform
  • a double slide
  • a play shop front
  • an abacus ball.

Option B:

This option included:

  • a small play car with two steering wheels
  • a seat
  • a single slide off a 900mm deck
  • a tunnel with peep holes
  • a junior platform and a large wide platform
  • a double wave slide
  • three play panels at the top of the unit
  • a play shop front.

Preferred play space design

  • Fourteen people preferred Option B.
  • Five people preferred Option A.
  • Three had no preference.

Decisions made from your feedback

We selected Option B as a result of your feedback.

We will also add seating. We will not add swings yet due to limited funds, but we may add them in the future. Swings are available at other nearby playgrounds.

What happens next

We will install the new play space equipment and seating before July 2026.

This module provides upper body challenges in the form of a track glide and monkey bars, which leads to a platform via a wobbly bridge. A tunnel takes you to a 1500mm platform with a double slide off it providing endless fun and social play. To the side interactive panels are positioned at ground level which provide a shop front, and an abacus ball panel ensuring inclusive fun for younger children.

Option B: This option provides play opportunities for both toddler an junior children. The toddler ends provides a small car with two steering wheels, and a seat for social play, with a single slide off a 900mm deck above. A tunnel with peep holes, links

A tunnel with peep holes, links the two platforms from a junior platform to a large wide platform allowing for children to gather and have fun with a double wave slide and 3 play panels at the top of the unit and a shop front below.
