About the renewal

The playground and footpaths at the Gilshennan Reserve in Red Beach need renewing.

This renewal is part of the Hibiscus and Bays Local Board work programme.

What we are proposing

We have developed two concept designs for the playground and footpath renewal.

The designs have different layouts and colour schemes, but both include:

  • a play structure for both younger and older kids
  • stepping logs
  • a spinner
  • a seesaw
  • swings and a swing basket.

We also want to:

  • move the playground to a better area in the park
  • include new paths and seating areas.

What we want your feedback on

We want to know:

  • how you currently use the reserve area
  • what play equipment you would like at the renewed playground
  • your favourite playground concept design.
