Thank you for having your say.

What the consultation was about

We asked for Aucklander’s thoughts on our approach to key components of the Future Development Strategy (FDS):

  • our approach to focus most of Auckland’s growth within the existing urban area and around local centres
  • to avoid further growth in areas with significant environmental hazards
  • to prioritise nature-based infrastructure that responds to the impacts of climate change.

Many Aucklanders also took the time to share their thoughts on other aspects of the strategy.

Summary of consultation feedback

We asked Aucklanders for their feedback on four key elements of the strategy. This included opportunities to add comments for each question and to provide further feedback on our overall approach.

We received 10,083 submissions.
