Consultation has concluded

We're planning to renew the Fergusson Domain courts in Onehunga.

Fergusson Domain is home to:

  • a range of sporting activities
  • protected trees
  • green space
  • community facilities
  • great local views.

There are outdoor sealed courts that are currently set up for tennis and netball.

What we want your feedback on

We are asking the community to look at the available options and provide feedback on which sports should go into the three-court hard surface area.

Activities being considered include:

  • netball
  • tennis
  • basketball
  • volleyball
  • pickleball/paddle tennis
  • hoop practice.

There is also the possibility of a walk/run/cycle/scooter/skate/training track.

You can have your say from 25 August to 5PM 22 September 2021.

What happens next

  • All feedback received will be presented to Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board for consideration.
  • A final decision will be made at the Maungakiekie-Tāmaki Local Board’s business meeting in October 2021.

    The Fergusson Domain courts are being renewed and we want to know which sports should be included. The existing courts cater for netball and tennis currently and we would like to know from you if this should change.
