We are proposing a new pump track for Eastdale Reserve and would like your feedback. We will use asphalt to build the track. This provides a smooth and sealed surface.
The design for the proposed pump track would include loop tracks for both beginners and more experienced users. We would build it next to the playground and carpark on Eastdale Road.
A new pump track will provide children, young people and families with:
- more opportunities for recreation and outdoor play
- a safe and easy-to-access social space.
Why Eastdale Reserve
We chose Eastdale Reserve as the most suitable site for a pump track because it:
- is a large, well-used sports park with plenty of open space
- has safe and connected paths
- has other facilities such as toilets, parking and a playground.

What happens next
We will present your feedback to Whau Local Board and prepare the detailed design.
