Key feedback themes
- More than 90 per cent of feedback submissions supported one or both of the concept plan proposals.
- Most people preferred relaxing or low-effort recreational activities at Dida Park.
- Play and active recreational experiences were preferred for Schoolside Road Reserve.
- Over 90 per cent of feedback came from residents of in the Rodney Local Board area.
Changes we made as a result of your feedback
Dida Park
- Added drainage to the lawn area.
- Added garden swing seats under the pergola.
- Introduced nature play elements for informal play.
- Added a rubbish bin near the picnic area.
Schoolside Road Reserve
- Added additional picnic tables and seats in the play area and along the path.
- Added a shade sail above the communal / social space.
- Planted fruit trees along the path.
- Added a multi-sports goal screen in the open lawn area to address senior play / sport games.
Additional changes:
- Removed the tennis table to provide more seating in the social space.
- Replaced one infant swing seat with a 'mum and bub' seat.
What happens next
The first round of engagement is now complete. We have used your feedback to update the concept plans.
These updated plans will be presented to Rodney Local Board for formal approval in February 2025.
