Devonshire Reserve Playground Renewal

The Devonshire playground has come to the end of its life and it is time to renew the playground.

We hope to provide challenging, fun and safe play equipment for children of various ages to enjoy.

Devonshire Playground is one of many play spaces in the Unsworth Heights area.

Exeter Reserve is a 2-3 minute walk from Devonshire Reserve. We are proposing removing the toddler slide and swing from Exeter Reserve. We plan to reinstate the area with grass. The swings from Exeter Reserve are planned for reuse at Devonshire or another local park.

What we want your feedback on

We want to know what you would like included in the Devonshire Reserve playground upgrade and whether you agree with our concept design.

In particular, we would like your thoughts on the different junior and senior play equipment. We also want to know if you think sand play would be a worthwhile addition to the design.

How you can have your say

Have your say online by completing our online survey.

Or email your feedback form to parksnorthfeedback@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz.

When you can have your say

You can have your say from 9am on 27 September 2022 to 5pm on 17 October 2022.

What happens next

  • November and December 2022: We will analyse your feedback and develop our concept design.
  • February and March 2023: We will request local board approval of our concept plan and will detail our design.
  • April 2023 to December 2023: We will source playground equipment and construct the upgraded playground.
