What is deliberative democracy

Deliberative Democracy is a way for a group of everyday Aucklanders to learn about different topics and decide together on the best outcomes, recommendations or next steps for decision-making.

Who is involved

The group will consist of people from all kinds of backgrounds who live in Auckland. The people in the group should be from different backgrounds and bring different perspectives.


How it works

The group will discuss a complex topic, share ideas, listen to others, and think carefully before making a decision.

Why it is important

The group’s decision will help with the next steps of the plan change and show what people in Auckland think.
