We want to renew the Coyle Park playground in Point Chevalier. Some of the existing playground equipment is old and needs replacing.
The focus of the renewal is to make sure the playground remains a fun, safe and accessible space for children in the local community.
We have created a draft concept plan with proposed changes for the renewal. We want your feedback on the draft concept plan.
What the draft concept plan includes
As part of the renewal, we are proposing to add:
- talk tubes and sensory play panels
- trampolines
- mound with tunnel, climbing grips, slides and sliding bars
- music play
- double bay swing set with a basket and a 'You and Me' swing seat
- play module and multi-person seesaw
- wooden stepping logs.
We also plan to add amenities including:
- shaded picnic area with seating wall
- a new garden bed around existing trees
- shade sails
- picnic tables
- seats
- cycle stands.
Existing play equipment
We plan to keep some of the existing play equipment which is in good condition. This includes:
- monorail train
- flying fox
- climbing boulder
- dragon and eggs sculpture
- rope play item
- carousel
- swings
- climbing net.
