We received 79 submissions through the drop-in session and online feedback form.
Key feedback themes
Feedback shows support for:
- the proposed design
- keeping the existing play equipment including:
- monorail
- flying fox
- climbing boulder
- spinner
- climbing net
- shade over the playground and seating areas
- addressing the drainage issues.
We have also received requests for improvements to netball, tennis, fitness, bike/skate facilities. However, they are outside the scope of this playground renewal.
Changes made based on feedback
The new design includes:
- a set of monkey bars
- three metres increase in the height of swing frame for older age groups
- a set of concrete steps with handrails which will be added to the steep grassy slope to make it easier and safer to get to the carpark and toilet block
- a path and cycle racks between the climbing net and perimeter path
- toddler train, carriage and ticket booth for imaginative play based on the theme of the existing monorail.
