Franklin Local Board is developing a trails (paths) plan for the Clarks Beach, Waiau Pa and Waiau Beach area. This is the next in a series of local paths plans following on from the Waiuku Trails Plan, Pohutukawa Coast Trails Plan, and the Pukekohe-Paerata Trails Plan.
A draft plan has been developed for Clarks Beach, Waiau Pa and Waiau Beach that identifies a series of routes, a series of (walking/cycling) connections and priority routes.
We are now reviewing feedback received from the local community on the plan, including which trail they think should have the highest priority. The feedback will feed into the draft plan and the Franklin Local Board will meet later this year to make a decision. We will update you on this page and via email if you have submitted on the draft plan.
