We are developing a concept for renewal at the facilities and enhancement of the northern corner of Clarks Beach Recreation Reserve in Manukau Harbour.
What is up for renewal
We want to renew the:
playground
toilets
skate park
basketball court.
We'd also like to include a learn-to-ride circuit and picnic area.
The existing BMX track will be kept in its exact location and upgraded and maintained by the community as needed.
Why we are upgrading the reserve
Clarks Beach is expecting significant growth under the Unitary Plan, and new residential developments are already underway.
Our reserves and facilities need to cater to this increased demand.
What we want your feedback on
We want to create a reserve concept plan that offers a range of activity for various age groups and can accommodate growth in Clarks Beach.
We'd like you to help us choose what to prioritise from the following list of proposed recreational amenities:
An accessible playground for ages 0 - 12, which reflects the site's character.
A skate park renewal at the current size and scale.
Basketball court renewal.
A learn-to-ride track.
Social and picnic areas with accessible tables and seating.
Accessible toilet facilities.
Planting and shade.
A design that celebrates mana whenua history and the natural values of the site.
How you can have your say
On-site at the playground, Sunday 30th May from 1 to 3 pm.

How you can have your say
