We received 75 survey submissions. Most of the feedback we received (60 per cent) came from families who use the current playspace once a week or more. Thank you for having your say.

Key feedback themes

In the Chalmers Reserve Playspace, the play elements you wanted most were:

  • swings
  • natural play
  • balancing
  • sliding.

Changes made as a result of feedback

As a result of your feedback, the playspace design we sent to the local board included:

  • an octagonal tower with tube slide
  • two trampolines
  • a spinner
  • a swing set (with basket, infant and standard seat)
  • a natural play area
  • a sand play area

The Whau Local Board has approved the below concept design.
