The 10-year Budget sets out the activities, services and investments we've planned for the next 10 years, and how we might pay for them.

Why we're doing this

Since 2010, Auckland has grown by the combined populations of Tauranga and Palmerston North (218,800) and it’s projected that our population will grow by another 720,000 people by 2050.

This is going to have a huge effect on:

  • traffic
  • housing
  • environment
  • quality of life.

Managing this growth requires planning and long-term thinking. It requires clear priorities and investment that will get Auckland moving.

What we want you to have your say on

We want you to have your say on:

  • the long-term direction of our city
  • investment and spending priorities
  • what our future looks like
  • what we should be working towards over the next ten years.

When you can have your say

You can have your say from 15 February 2021.
